Weekly Letter November 2nd

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a great weekend. Please take note of the following information.

  • Remember to read to your child 10-15 minutes daily. This is homework.
  • Please send in a picture of one of your child's uncle by Tomorrow.
  • If your child is sick with cold like symptoms, Please have him/her stay at home to avoid spreading of germs. If a student is kept at home remember to send an excuse the next day.
  • Congratulations to our Student of the week Juan Sebastian!
  • Parent teacher conferences will be on Friday, November 6th. Sign up will be posted on Wednesday, November 4th. There is no school for Pre school on this day.
  • Make sure jackets/sweaters are labeled and in accordance to our uniform code; navy blue, gray, black or white.

This week we will be learning about:

Language: Letter Bb, sound, vocabulary and letter recognition.

Phonemic Awareness: Ending consonants.

Math:
number 14 and ordinal positions 1st – 5th.

Science: Human Body.

Values: Making Good decisions.

Virtue of the Month:

Weekly letter October 26

Dear Parents,

    We hope you had a great weekend. Evaluations went by smoothly. Today we begin the second quarter. Please take note of the following information.

  • Remember to read to your child 10-15 minutes daily.
  • If your child is sick with cold like symptoms, Please have him/her stay at home to avoid spreading of germs. If a student is kept at home remember to send an excuse the next day.
  • This week we will not have student of the week due to our Halloween celebration.
  • Parent teacher conferences will be on November 6th. Sign up will be posted on the morning Wednesday, November 4th.
  • Make sure jackets/sweaters are labeled and in accordance to our uniform code; navy blue, gray, black or white.

This week we will be learning about:

Language: Letter Mm, sound, vocabulary and letter recognition.

Phonemic Awareness: Ending consonants.

Math:
number 13 and ordinal positions 1st – 5th.

This is evaluation week. Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest. Evaluations will be done with every day activities. Please take note of the following information:

  • Remember to read to your child 10-15 minutes daily.
  • If your child is sick with cold like symptoms, Please have him/her stay at home to avoid spreading of germs. If a student is kept at home remember to send an excuse the next day.
  • Congratulations to our Student of the Week Sofia!
  • Please refer to the Eagle Courier for information on Halloween activities. You will also receive an e-mail with specific information.
  • The Virtue of the Month is Integrity. "I will respect other people's property".
  • Please refer to last week's blog entry for information on content to be evaluated.
  • Friday, October 23rd is Lps. 5.00 Color's Day!

Review information 1st quarter



Dear Parents,

Next week is evaluation week. Wow! The 1st quarter is almost over. Please take note of the following information:

Language: Letters T,A,S,E,P.O,H. Your Child Should:

  • Name letters. Ex.: Teacher shows the letter "T". Student names the letter.
  • Produce letter sound. Ex.: Teacher names a letter. Student produces the sound of the letter.
  • Identify letter from sound. Ex.: Teacher produces letter sound, student names the letter.

Vocabulary:

  • Produce words when given a letter. Ex.: Teacher says "A"; student might say: "ant", "alphabet", "animals", etc.
  • Name pictures of vocabulary words.
    Remember all vocabulary lists are posted here.

Phonemic Awareness:

  • Identify beginnig sound from given picture.
  • Number of words in a sentence.
  • Alliteration
  • Number of syllables in a word.

Math:

  • Identify shapes.
  • Recognizes, completes and makes a pattern.
  • Recognize numbers from 0 – 12.
  • Identify number sequence 0 – 12.
  • Relate numbers 0 – 12 to sets.
  • Write numbers 0 – 12 correctly.
  • Count backwards from 10-0.
  • Read a pictograph.
  • Identify More/less/equal.
  • same/different

  • Thursday October 15th is the presentation "1 2 3 Magic" from 11:30- 1:00 in room #62 of the high school building.
