Weekly Letter November 30

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a great restful long weekend. Please take note of the following information.

  • Remember to read to your child 10-15 minutes daily. This is homework.
  • If your child is sick with cold like symptoms, Please have him/her stay at home to avoid spreading of germs. If a student is kept at home remember to send an excuse the next day. Or e–mail me at jjaar@amschool.org.
  • Congratulations to our Student of the week Camila!
  • We will be accepting contributions for Navidad sin Frio until Friday December 4th.
  • PTO's Picture with Santa will be Wednesday December 2nd. If you are interested please send authorization signed and Lps. 160. (please send exact change) In an envelope with your child's name.
  • If you would like to contribute with the Christmas baskets, please send toilet paper. Thank you for your support.
  • This week we will be learning about Eric Carle, if you have any books written by him please send them in so we can share them.
  • The Christmas concert is around the corner. (December 16th) Please help us get ready for this special day. Children will be asked to wear the following clothes. GIRLS: white tights, white long sleeve shirt (preferably turtle neck) and black shoes.Red or green skirt BOYS: White long sleeve shirt. (Preferably turtle neck), black pants, black shoes and sunglasses.

This week we will be learning about:

Language: Letter Ii, sound, vocabulary and letter recognition.

Phonemic Awareness: Oral blending of syllables. Ex: I say "je – lly" student says "jelly".

Math:
number 17&18 and constructing a pictograph.

Weekly Letter November 23

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a great weekend. Please take note of the following information.

  • Remember to read to your child 10-15 minutes daily. This is homework.
  • Progress Reports go home today. If your child got one please send it signed tomorrow.
  • We are still collecting warm clothes for Navidad sin Frio. I f you have any you would like to donate please send them in.
  • This week will not have student of the week.
  • If you would like to contribute with our Toy Drive please send Lps.100 in a sealed labeled envelope.
  • Pictures with Santa will be taken on December 2nd. Please refer to the Eagle courier for more information on this activity.
  • Please send Report Cards back signed.
  • We are doing such a great job in our classroom that we are running out of prizes. If you would like to donate some small prizes please feel free to do so.

  • This Friday November 20th is Jean Day. Please allow your child to wear jeans on this day.

  • Saturday, November 21st, is free Color's Day. This will be a regular school day.

  • Make sure jackets/sweaters are labeled and in accordance to our uniform code; navy blue, gray, black or white.

  • Please send Report Cards back signed.

  • If you have not sent the picture of your child's uncle, please do so by tomorrow.
  • If your child is sick with cold like symptoms, Please have him/her stay at home to avoid spreading of germs. If a student is kept at home remember to send an excuse the next day. Or e–mail me at jjaar@amschool.org.
