Weekly Letter March 22

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a great Father's Day!. Please take note of the following information.

  • We have a short week and long Easter break!
  • Remember to read to your child 10-15 minutes daily. This is homework.
  • We will not have student of the week this week.
  • Please remember it is very important for you to read the blog at least once a week.
  • Show and Tell will now be on Thursdays. Please help your child choose what he/she will share. Sharing helps students develop oral language and boost their confidence.
  • There will be a school wide Values Presentation on Tuesday, March 23rd from 5:00 – 6:30 in room #62. "Preparándonos para la adolescencia de nuestros hijos". Presentado por el Lic. Roger Martinez.
  • Thursday March 25th is Free Color's Day.
  • Parent Teacher Conferences will be Friday March 26th from 7:30- 12:00 and 12:45 – 3:00. Sign - up sheet will be posted on Wednesday March 24th.
  • Easter break March 27th – April 5th. Classes resume on April 6th.
  • We will begin learning to indentify Honduran coins. Please send with your child in a zip lock bag one of each Honduran coins. (5,10,20,50)
  • If you have any Leo Lionni 's books we may borrow, please send them in.

This week we will be learning about:

Language: Letter Vv, sound, vocabulary and letter recognition.

Sight words: have, little, he, she.

Phonemic Awareness: word families

Math: Coins and counting to 50.
